This was taken with our lomographic action sampler... it uses film, you might remember that stuff. The camera has four lenses and takes a sequence of pictures and puts it on one frame (again that's fancy lingo for that film stuff, no post production here). My dad who is a purist and a film holdout said he had problems finding film and that places that do the process are dwindling. I may have to grab the lomographic back out again. I've also been meaning to mess around with pin-hole cameras as well but never seem to have the time. So go grab an old film cam and mess around people!
Me thinks I spied a wee green man in me beetle one fine morn... I'm thinkin' he lost lost track of his pot-o-gold so he tried to make off with the bug!
Eli circa 2002!
1990 - I needed a car, my brother needed some cash, my dad got two birds with one yellow VW Superbeetle. Maybe later I'll look into the affliction my brother passed on called "I wanna own a bunch of different VWs - itis".
My brother's vehicle... I found one started in Sketchup's 3D warehouse. I've got a lot of fixing to do to make the body panels, drop down gates and cargo box correct, but it's a great venture into measuring and designing curves! Updates to follow.
My Car turns 40 this month... I turn 40 in two months.
So I've built a cabinet to hold my beetle models, now I'll post some images of the real deal.
Manufactured in May of 1971, I'm the third and longest owner of this particular Superbeetle.
More details as I figure out what to write... I've avoided pictures of it for a while because it is not in the shape that I'd like it to be in. That said, what ever is? So here are a few pics.
